Wind Direction Duck Bay is good for most winds but a direct west wind tend to be offshore. Malarrachy again for most winds except for Easterlies which are offshore, both locations can get very busy with day trippers especially at the week-end, public holidays and sunny summer days.

Loch Lomond is beautiful but can be treacherous. Before venturing onto the water Think Safety. Remember cold water, steeply shelving shores, sudden storms, submerged rocks and inconsiderate behaviour can be killers. Read the Loch Lomond Association Code of Conduct and the Be Lochwise leaflet for advice and information. Dial 999 if assistance is required. While enjoying the loch please remember that the islands and much of the foreshore are privately owned. The interests of residents and those making their livelihood on the Lochside should be respected.
